Before a Special Service Agent can apply the art of investigation, he must learn from a seasoned expert. Untested and very raw, Alack Troyus is off with Colonel Rallon of the Service Guard police to the more isolated and challenging spots of Amazia. During his three fold ordeal both face the unknown criminal and dine with the high and mighty. A touch of diplomacy, a table spoon of intrigue and a cup full of murder, is the recipe that Alack must learn to digest.
THE TARTARUS AFFAIR
The stalks of grain grow high and thick on Tartarus, a dead planet rotating on the brink of destruction. In her last millennia of life Tartarus is used to grow massive hybrids to feed a growing universe. As corporate greed unravels the safety net sucking the planet dry, an invisible horror is unleashed. The innocent farm workers are dying and Alack Troyus must deal with the unseen terror that has awakened.
THE EARTH AFFAIR
The end is near for planet Earth. But for Alack Troyus such a revelation is far away as he wrestles with a mystery of mayhem and murder. The destinies of both will cross as the noose tightens on a dastardly scheme. Alack and his friend Willis Madison of Earth are caught in the enfolding apocalypse. But both can not know the resulting clash maybe the beginning of the end of everything.

Legends speak of monsters in the skies, but who follows such nonsense. The planet Neferatus is about to take her place amongst the stars of the Imperium. Her King demands a modern world and so strives to bend all society. But the hand of God is swift and mysterious. It strikes from above causing desolation below. Alack Troyus, with a young man of the Temple, seeks the lingering truth before the hand of death inhales all.
